Apart from some bullshit article in The Express, when are we likely to expect this 'polar vortex'?

Global warming does not rule out local cooling, and especially not temporary local cooling.

Global warming is global warming.
If the globe was warming, we wouldn't be due these cold snaps, GPH son.
It's all a fucking FARCE.

In 9 year I have never experienced weather in England that warranted Canada Goose type parkas.
Multiple lighter layers are they key, my brethren.
Heading to international games on Friday and Tuesday nights Forecast has it between -4 and -7. That would too warm for Canada Goose, if I were silly enough to overpay for one.

There's global (actually, an abbreviation of global mean) as opposed to local, and there's global meaning everywhere on the globe.
It's not that difficult to work out which is being used in "global warming".

I've never been able to get my head around Canada Goose.
I'm all for weighing out on nice clobber, but a bag of sand for something that looks like it's swapped tags with a Superdry? It's chavs with jobs clobber.

Considering I am living in the cold keeping the heating off due to extortionate gas and electric prices I'm hoping for some serious global warming!!

Canada Goose (not that name but the company) was good work wear back in the day. But they did a bangup marketing job in around 2010 I think and you pay for that now.
My wife was looking for a new coat when we got back here. Mountain Equipment Coop - have stuff of theirs that have lasted years - was doing a down parka for 400 CAD, the Canada Goose equilevant was 1200. Pretty silly.

Block If you're reading that from the weather goon at The Express then we've probably had it,meaning some Glen in a remote part of Scotland has already had it this week, even in summer these parts get temperatures below freezing, then wee (see what I did there ) can rest in our t-shirts and shorts. The guy is the biggest alarmist in history. He's the one in September that said "tropical blast to hit Britain.Britain will be basking in 20 degrees by the weekend" 20 degrees, it was virtually that today in Sussex. chief WANKER
